Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Ibex mobile application and ibex.fit (together, the "Service") ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Description of Service

Ibex is a climbing activity recorder that tracks elevation, pitch distance, activity type and other metrics while you climb, and organizes recorded activities into a climbing journal. Ibex integrates with onBelay and Topo360 for route discovery and 360° route information.

Not a Safety Device

Ibex is a supplemental information tool and is not a replacement for climbing judgment, equipment checks, route knowledge or established safety practices. Activity detection, elevation and distance measurements are estimates based on device sensors and location data, and may be inaccurate or unavailable in some conditions. You are solely responsible for your own safety decisions while climbing, rappelling or engaging in any other activity.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@ibex.fit of any unauthorized use.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to interfere with its operation, reverse-engineer the app beyond what is permitted by law, or use recorded activity data to misrepresent route conditions to other climbers.

User Content

You retain ownership of photos, notes and journal entries you create in Ibex. By using the Service, you grant Ibex a limited license to store and display that content back to you as part of the Service.

Third-Party Products and Links

Ibex links to related products, including onBelay and Topo360, and to third-party services such as Google Play. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of third-party products or sites.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ibex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including personal injury, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on data recorded or displayed by Ibex.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
